Banter Booth comes to Glasgow

By Matt | September 26, 2008

The Banter Booth from William Hill is coming to Glasgow on 10th and 11th October, the bookmaking giant has confirmed.

Scottish football fans in Glasgow for the Scotland versus Norway World Cup qualifying match will be able to shout about their team inside the Banter Booth.

The booth is essentially an enormous football-shaped marshmallow where footy fans can sit and rant about the injustices of modern football – just like the failed contestants bleating on about Simon Cowell on X-Factor.

Hills have already posted an example on YouTube (see below). The company says that it expects up to 1,000 fans to visit the booth, adding to the 1,000 that visited it on its recent excusions to Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Banter booth: life after Glasgow?
As with the Olympic Stadium development in London, a lively debate has been going on about the purpose of the Banter Booth after the event. This can be found on the excellent Pie and Bovril website.
