Nassau Stakes betting tip for Glorious Goodwood Saturday

GLORIOUS GOODWOOD will draw to a close on Saturday – but we’ve got a betting tip that will ensure the festival goes out with a bang for punters.

Muthabara can win the Blue Square Nassau Stakes, the final Group 1 race of the meeting, and is a cracking each-way bet at 9/1 with Coral.

However, preference goes to taking the 8/1 on offer at Bet365, BlueSquare and William Hill, firms who are all paying out on the first four places.

Halfway to Heaven could go off favourite in this horse race, given the form Aiden O’Brien is in for the big races this season. But Halfway to Heaven – Irish 1,000 Guineas win notwithstanding – is far from being a female Henrythenavigator or a Duke of Marmalade.

Lush Lashes could vie for favouritism in the betting after her comfortable win in the Coronation Stakes – but I can’t forget her lacklustre showing in the British 1,000 Guineas earlier in June.

Jim Dunlop’s Muthabara has all the talent to take on both horses and can reverse the 1,000 Guineas placing when Lush Lashes finished half a length ahead of her. The softer ground expected at Goodwood on Saturday will be in her favour and at those odds I want an interest.
