Rose Tremain wins Orange Prize
By Matt | June 6, 2008
ROSE TREMAIN has won the Orange Prize for The Road Home, her novel about the life of an eastern European immigrant.
Literary punters gambling on the British writer winning the prize were buying money by betting on The Road Home.
Tremain was the bookie’s favourite for the prestigious award for women’s fiction, with most having stopped taking bets on the author.
A full report of Tremain’s win can be read on theage.com.au, the Australian newspaper’s website.
