Yorkshire Cup betting tip

By Matt | May 16, 2008

It’s Emirates Airlines Yorkshire Cup day at York today, and I’m finally going to get to the Knavesmire to do some punting.

My plans to attend the Dante meeting yesterday were scuppered by work, but a bit of rain won’t stop me today.

My Yorkshire Cup betting tip is for Alfie Flits. I don’t know a lot about any of the nags on show, apart from the redoubtable Sergeant Cecil, but it’s 14/1 with Coral at them moment, and that seems a big price for a horse with some useful form.

Aiden O’Brien’s Honolulu appeals, especially after the way Frozen Fire ran in the Dante Stakes yesterday, but its unraced this year and looks there to be opposed, so I’m going to go with what looks like a bit of each-way value.
